JOIN ME! HOW TO MONETIZE YOUR WEBSITE FOR 24/7 INCOME
JOIN ME FOR A COMPLIMENTARY ONE HOUR WEBINAR, FRIDAY, JUNE 5TH, FROM 10-11 AM PT!
Friends, I’m thrilled to have been invited by Las Vegas Market’s Las Vegas Design Center to partner with them on delivering their #FirstFriday webinar for June.
Tailored for the West Coast interior designers that frequent the beautiful Las Vegas Design Center located on the first two floors of Building A on the Las Vegas Market campus, my webinar will be full of specific and actionable information that will help those who tune in understand how to monetize their websites for 24/7 income - without having to have an ecommerce store.
Especially now, this webinar will be helpful for interior designers desiring to understand how to use their knowledge and expertise in new ways, while giving themselves more time and place flexibility.

I delivered a variation of this webinar, in person, at Adam Japko’s Design Influencers Conference in San Francisco earlier this year, and it was well received by those in attendance.
A FUN BACKSTORY. KATHY IRELAND JOINS ME AS MY GUEST PRESENTER + THE SOCIAL MEDIA HOT SPOT BARS.
A fun backstory comes along with being invited, once again, to partner with Las Vegas Market on a presentation.
As many know now, I have two businesses, The Kaleidoscope Partnership and Savour Partnership, but originally, The Kaleidoscope Partnership, founded in 2002, was my only business.
In 2008, I had a fresh vision for the The Kaleidoscope Partnership and re-engineered what had been a national sales training business for furniture retailers to start the USA’s first full time social media marketing agency for the home furnishings and interior design industry.
As a result of that, and the timing, I was brought in to help Las Vegas Market educate their attendees on all aspects of social media marketing and to help them get comfortable in how to use the tools of social media to move their sales powerfully forward.
First, I was invited by Las Vegas Market to be their keynote speaker on the topic of social media, and then, my company was invited to run the first and second iterations of their industry first, SOCIAL MEDIA HOT SPOT BARS - a genuine innovation at the time for any tradeshow.
HERE ARE A FEW IMAGES AND MEMORIES OF THAT TIME
As I mentioned, the first time I was brought in to Las Vegas Market was as their keynote speaker for Fall Market, 2009.
Here's a snippet of an article from Home Accents Today, where past EIC, Susan Dickenson, wrote about how Kathy Ireland was joining me as my guest presenter for this keynote presentation at #LVMKT. Here’s the whole article:
https://www.homeaccentstoday.com/.../kathy-ireland-amp.../
And for those of you reading now and wondering, “How did the famous Kathy Ireland come to join Leslie for this?”, here is exactly how it happened:
I asked Kathy, on Twitter, if she would join me for this and, responding on Twitter, publicly, Kathy said, “Yes, I will.” You could have knocked me over with a feather. I was OVERJOYED!
That’s the power of Twitter, then and now, to make things happen, fast. And, of course, there’s a bit more to the story….as I had developed a relationship with Kathy, all via Twitter, first. But, once that relationship had been established, even though we had never met in person, she said, YES.
I have a complete video of this presentation but it is over an hour long, so I won't share it here.. but I will share a snippet of an image from that video below, as I was handing Kathy my microphone.
And if, by any chance, Kathy is seeing this: THANK YOU, KATHY. You have continued to inspire me from that moment to this, even though over a decade has passed!
After this happened, I was invited by Las Vegas Market to run their first SOCIAL MEDIA HOT SPOT BAR, and then I was brought back to do it again, for the following market. I loved doing this for them.
The women in the image below (except for the woman on the far left who was a sales rep for a line being shown there when I took this picture ) all agreed to come with me, to help #LVMKT’s attendees understand how to use the tools of social media.
Some of you might recognize Amy Beth Cupp Dragoo, (second from left) Joy and Janet of Canada’s The Moggit Girls, and Olivia Millwood. They were all very good friends of mine from the very early days of Twitter.
Everything was set up in Building C. Las Vegas Market did a beautiful job making it look like a real bar set up, with plenty of computers set up on actual bar tables surrounding this center column and barstools for their attendees to sit on.
Their attendees loved it and this is where I first met my now very good real life friend, interior designer Michele Youell ( also a past client ) who continues to make me feel at home in Vegas whenever I visit.
Fun factoid: It was Michelle who got the plum assignment to design the entire Thermador space at KBIS2020 this past January!
I was very surprised to see it advertised on the back of the bathroom stall doors across the #LVMKT campus - a first for me! This is such a bad image, but it was taken with a 2010 era IPhone.
Can you believe how much IPhone photography has improved in a decade?
So, it is a full circle moment for me to have been invited back to once again, a decade later, to make a presentation on behalf of #LVMKT, even though this one will be virtual.
This presentation will help position interior designers ( and any retailers and manufacturers who can join in, too ) for long term success, but in a brand new way…and in a way where knowledge of how to use some of the tools of social media (especially Pinterest) will be critical to the success of this strategy, long term.

AND IF YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS WEBINAR?
If you can’t make this timing, I am doing a 2 hour weminar the following week, on Wednesday, June 10th, 1-3 EST, on the same topic, but more in depth, for Business of Home as part of their LAUNCH series.
This is not complimentary, unless you are a BOH INSIDER (which I highly recommend!).
Business of Home charges 125.00 to those who are not BOH Insiders. To register for it, click here.
And… I want to say THANK YOU to both Las Vegas Market and Business of Home, who both gave me their blessing to hold these two seminars for each of them, close together, so that our industry could understand, especially now in the time of the pandemic, how everyone can re-adjust in order to move their businesses powerfully forward, financially, in a new way.
Lastly, I invite all interior designers reading this who are not already part of my private Facebook Group for interior designers: #DesignWealth, to join. It’s free, and in this Group are a treasure trove of free resources for you that will help you implement this business strategy.
Here’s the link: http://facebook.com/groups/designwealth
The rule for admission? Only professional interior designers with a website.
There are a few editors in the Group, and I also accept (very few) Group sponsorships from manufacturers, so there are a few sponsors in the Group, as well.
With approximately 1500 members now, you will be in good company in learning how to accelerate your earnings in the years ahead.
As always, I appreciate you taking your time to read my blog. Thank you!
I hope to see you on one or both of these upcoming webinars!
Sincerely,
Leslie Carothers
