HOW SAVOUR PARTNERSHIP HELPS BRANDS MAKE MONEY: A CLIENT SUCCESS STORY

Savour Partnership | Chief Energizing Officer: Leslie Carothers | Creative Director: Sam Henderson.

HOW SAVOUR PARTNERSHIP HELPS CLIENTS MAKE MONEY: A SUCCESS STORY AND THE SERVICES WE OFFER.

My company, Savour Partnership, is well known for designing, writing and marketing beautiful, luxury shoppable digital publications of all types for brands within the home furnishings and interior design industry, but what many don’t know, is that we also provide many other services to our clients, that help them make money and reach their goals, faster, and have been doing so for the past 12 years.

In this post, I’d like to share with you more about what we do (and have done) for our client, Seasonal Living, a 5x Arts Award winning manufacturer/importer of modern, indoor/outdoor furniture, lighting and decorative accessories headquartered in Austin, TX, — and the results we’ve achieved for them over the past two and a half years.

My hope is that this success story will encourage you to reach out to me, too, if my team can help your brand make money, too, and achieve results, faster, than what you might otherwise be able to do on your own.

FIRST, THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE TO SEASONAL LIVING

For this particular client, we produce their newsletter and eblasts, write their monthly blog, run their Instagram feed, produce video Instagram STORIES, create other video assets (see below), advise them on high level business strategy as well as strategies to assist their sales representatives, and develop other influencer marketing opportunities for them to have their brand message reach a wider audience that incorporate best practice SEO optimization techniques.

See more details about the #LiveLoveOutdoors blog hop with national influencers, below.

ABOUT THE MAGAZINE.

As many of you know who are long time readers of this blog, Savour Partnership has been designing and writing the beautiful, shoppable digital magazine, Seasonal Living Magazine, for our client for the past 2 years now, and what you see in the image below is the current SPRING 2020 cover, along with the table of contents.

The mission of the magazine is to encourage people the world over to live more in harmony with the four seasons of Winter. Spring. Summer. Fall. through inspiring imagery and videos on all things seasonal in Food + Recipes. Entertaining. Wellness. Design. Travel.

For every issue, we also create entertaining, charming videos that we use in national, consumer facing online advertising email acquisition subscription campaigns - like this one we created for the current SPRING issue of Seasonal Living Magazine which is running nationally on Facebook now.

These digital magazines live online just like Seasonal Living’s blogs do, and both the blogs and the magazine do provide, and will continue to provide, a very powerful SEO boost to our client.

This means that people who are searching for modern outdoor furniture or modern luxury outdoor furniture will have a a very good chance of Google’s algorithm having our client’s website returned to them in top organic search results - forever.

VIDEO STORYTELLING CAMPAIGNS

In 2019, we were also hired to create a compelling video storytelling campaign that Seasonal Living could use in their showrooms and in their online marketing. Video storytelling, as everyone knows, is a powerful tool for creating a community of conversation around a brand’s values, the lifestyle the brand represents, and, of course, the products that a brand has for sale.

All the storytelling videos that you will see up on the walls and around the showroom, in this video, were created by my company’s Creative Director, Sam Henderson. Sam also does work for the Discovery family of brands, and is HGTV’s #1 rated visual content producer as rated by HGTV’s consumer audience.

Because of the data we have, collectively, we are able to give our clients a strong competitive edge in their online marketing.

Here’s one of the videos we created, so you can see it start to finish. It’s a combination of SPRING lifestyle imagery and product imagery and runs approx. 2: 30 on a continuous loop in Seasonal Living’s #LVMKT showroom.

SHOWROOM DESIGN

Late in 2019, we were given the additional opportunity to redesign the Spring 2020 Seasonal Living Interhall showroom. Due to the pandemic, Spring 2020 #HPMKT was cancelled, so we didn’t have the chance to unveil it, but we hope you will stop by to see it as soon as we are all able to safely attend High Point Market again.

THE #LIVELOVEOUTDOORS BLOG HOP (see all blog links at the end of this post)

Recently, I arranged a blog hop with 5 nationally known interior designers and influencers. Blog hops are great ways to benefit both the participating designers and the brand, and I really enjoy organizing them and making sure they are successful for both parties in meeting their marketing + site traffic objectives. They are excellent for SEO optimization, as well, for all participants.

I have executed on many blog hops in my career, notably for a past client, Olioboard, (now DESIGN FILES) where I put together many large blog hops for their brand over the period of two years.

For the #LiveLoveOutdoors blog hop for Seasonal Living, the participants were:

Pasadena, CA based Jeanne Khoe Chung, owner of the brick and mortar store, Cozy Stylish Chic. She is an independent retailer of Seasonal Living’s line.

Los Angeles based Laura D. Muller, owner of Four Point Design Build, who has specified Seasonal Living’s products in her own design work and who has visited with Seasonal Living several times in their #LVMKT showroom.

The Woodlands, TX based Carla Aston, who has written about Seasonal Living on her blog previously, and has also gotten to know the line well through her visits to their #HPMKT showroom.

Boston, MA based Linda Holt, who is our featured designer in the SPRING 2020 issue of Seasonal Living Magazine

Fayetteville, NC based, Jana Donohoe Designs, who is redesigning her outdoor area and her basement for the #SPRING2020 #OneRoomChallenge.

( See my post all about the #OneRoomChallenge at the bottom of this post)

Each of these designers wrote a long and beautiful blog post, incorporating Seasonal Living’s products, then linked to each other’s posts at the bottom of their posts.

Seasonal Living, in turn, posted their posts in their Insta STORIES, with live links back to their blogs, and also sent the designers’ posts out to their own large email list in their latest newsletter, and the posts were shared widely online by the participating designers, by me, and by Seasonal Living, during the blog hop weekend.

Here’s an image of the video INSTA STORY we created for Laura Muller, that was posted on Seasonal Living’s INSTA STORIES with a live swipe up link to Laura’s blog post. As you can see, I reposted it on Savour Partnership’s Instagram STORY.

And here’s the one created for Jeanne Khoe Chung.

AN ICING ON THE CAKE MOMENT.

I was given free reign to select which new product introductions I wanted to submit to High Point Market for consideration by the High Point Market Stylespotters for SPRING 2020 #HPMKT. I could only choose 3.

I was so thrilled when #hpmktSS, Nancy Fire, whom I don’t know, and who is also HGTV Home’s Design Director, selected Seasonal Living’s CLIP indoor/outdoor concrete and reclaimed teak dining table as one of her top picks.

See the blog post I wrote about this for Seasonal Living’s blog, at the end of this post.

A THANK YOU TO OUR CLIENT

Gary Pettitt is the CEO and founder of Seasonal Living. He is widely respected in the furniture industry, and especially within the casual living + indoor/outdoor categories, as a visionary leader in product development and marketing, as well as a leader in the showroom delivery experience.

Gary’s company had become wildly successful before he hired Savour Partnership for additional strategy, brand marketing and social media support, but his ever increasing responsibilities and travel schedule finally led him to reach out as he realized how hard it was becoming for him to do all the things, well, and at the level of excellence he desired.

No matter what our #newnormal brings to us in 2020 and beyond, one thing that will always be true is my genuine passion for the beautiful products that Gary has sourced from small batch artisanal factories all over the world, many of whom would be out of business by now if not for his business.

Read the story of how I originally met Gary at the bottom of this post.

And Gary: thank you for always referring me to your own customers, whenever you can. That is the biggest compliment I could ever hope to receive.

BUSINESS RESULTS

Our work for Seasonal Living has resulted in a marked increase in their business with interior designers over the past two years, the primary objective of their brand’s marketing program.

In addition, our results have included broader consumer awareness of the Seasonal Living brand as measured by their increased website traffic, increased email subscriptions to both the blog and the magazine, number of people discussing and sharing the magazine & brand online with their own friends and in Facebook Groups, large increases in Seasonal Living’s Instagram following and engagement rates, articles about the magazine in newspapers and major trade publications and increased engagement, online and offline, with those who are instrumental to the success of both the furniture line and the magazine.

Especially in today’s climate, with the pandemic, these outreach efforts have become more important than ever, due to physical markets being cancelled.

CAN SAVOUR PARTNERSHIP HELP YOUR BUSINESS OPEN NEW MARKETS, MAKE MONEY AND BUILD CONSUMER AWARENESS OF YOUR BRAND, TOO?

Over the past 12 years, I have helped over 40 major and emerging brands within the home furnishings category build their business with consumers and interior designers. This has included retailers, manufacturers, software providers, tradeshows and publishers. In addition, I have helped several dozen interior designers reach their goals, faster, and build their brands to national prominence.

I have dozens of testimonials and references and would be happy to provide them to you.

I genuinely love and have a passion for what I do and want to thank ALL of my wonderful clients over these past 12 years for the opportunity to use my skills, knowledge, experience and my long standing relationships, backed up by data, to deliver the results that matter.

If you, too, are interested in having me help your home furnishings related brand or interior design firm, I invite you to reach out to me at leslie@savourpartnership.com.
