Top 10 Housing Markets For Luxury Home Buyers In 2025

Zonda, the country’s premier source of data for the housing industry, recently published its 2025 report on the Top 10 Housing Markets For Luxury Home Buyers.

Using 10 different proprietary data points, Zonda ranked these top 10 markets on their desirability for the luxury home buyer.

What you will see below is a map of where they are and the pros and cons of each housing market for the potential buyer.

If you live in one of these markets already, do you agree with the pros and cons… or have one of your own to add? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

Ready?

What I found so interesting about this report is the absence of any city in Texas. Usually, Austin or Dallas would be on a list like this. In addition, I think both Kansas City and Chicago are very desirable cities for the luxury home buyer and they, too, did not rank.

Clearly, North Carolina is the big winner, which bodes well for my furniture manufacturing friends and interior designer friends who live there.

What are you thoughts? Which city do you think should have ranked, but didn’t?
